A versatile artist and musician, Alyssa began her musical training in piano and later pursued classical voice. At 19, she made her solo debut as Maria in "West Side Story" and her professional classical soloist debut with the Maine Music Society at the age of 23. Since then, she has collaborated with various individual musicians, opera companies and groups.

Roles include Cherubino in "Le Nozze di Figaro" (Mozart), Rosina in "The Barber of Seville" (Rossini), the title role of "Carmen" (Bizet) and Donna Elvira in "Don Giovanni" (Mozart).  Highlights include Rosina with the New York Summer Opera Scenes under the baton of Metropolitan Opera assistant conductor, Joshua Green, and staged performances with the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy and Spoleto, Italy. Alyssa recently performed selections from Carmen with the Newtown Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Russell Hoffmann, and is a recurrent guest soloist with the Southampton Chamber Music Society.  This season she reprised her role of Rosina in "The Barber of Seville" (Rossini) with Center Stage Opera and will also be performing Maddalena in "Rigoletto" (Verdi).  For the 2019-20 season, Alyssa will be reprising the title role of "Carmen" (Bizet).

Along with traditional roles, Alyssa has been a part of new operas, creating the roles of Nancy in Dennis Hyams’ world premiere of The Golden Arrow with the Opera Project, Helena in Michael Dutka’s opera Midsummer, and as the Old Woman in Richard McIntyre's one-act opera based on the Chekov play, Jubilee, also with the Opera Project. A lover and advocate of art song and chamber music, Alyssa has performed numerous recitals and concerts to promote this repertoire to audiences in the local communities.

As part of her musical training, Alyssa participated at the Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium in Italy studying with renowned coaches Nico and Carol Castel, and Enza Ferrari. At the Mozarteum Music Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria, she concentrated on the opera repertoire of Mozart and German lied with Edda Moser. She currently studies with soprano, Evelyn Mandac and is a former student of coloratura soprano, Deborah Cook.
